Questions venues ask us
If you're one of the first 100 venues in your city: nothing for 6 months. After that, 19% of the deal price on each booking we bring you, deducted from your payout. No monthly fee, nothing for an empty slot. The 9% service fee (min. €0.99) is paid by the customer, not by you.
From then on you pay 19% of the deal price on each booking made through FreeSpot, and nothing else. You see it on every payout — no surprises.
Through Stripe, straight to your bank account. You connect it once from your dashboard; confirmed bookings are paid out once a week, every Monday.
If you cancel, the customer gets a full refund automatically. If the customer cancels, they don't get a refund and the slot is released. A no-show is a paid booking — you keep it.
Usually within one business day. We check your KVK registration and website by hand, then email you as soon as your account is live.
No. By default a paid booking is confirmed on the spot — you only list slots that are free in your calendar, and the customer is told immediately. Prefer to check first? Switch on manual confirmation in your profile: you then get 10 minutes to say yes, and if you don't, the customer is refunded in full automatically. You can always cancel a booking you can't honour — the customer gets a full refund.
Nothing is final until you confirm. When a customer pays, you get 10 minutes: block the slot in your own system first, then confirm the booking in FreeSpot. If the slot was taken elsewhere in the meantime, decline it — the customer is refunded in full automatically, and the same happens if you don't respond within those 10 minutes. And only list slots that are free in your calendar to begin with.
